Optima Batteries has agreed to a sponsorship listed below.
a) OPTIMA Batteries will supply Team Trails (5) five D34M BlueTop Batteries and (5) D31M BlueTop Batteries to be given away to the winning teams of the (5) five Team Trails Circuits.
b) OPTIMA Batteries will offer discount pricing to Team Trails members. Any Team Trails member who decides to purchase batteries through the discount program must fill out a marine sponsorship request form and provide a credit card number. David Flippo Vice President of Team Trail will submit all forms and payment information to Wally Olczak for approval. Wally is the Director of Sales and Client Services at FM3 Performance Marketing, Inc. After receiving the battery, the Team Trails member must add an Optima decal (supplied with battery) to his or her boat. Send David Flippo a picture of the boat with decal to be forwarded to Wally Olczak at FM3 Performance.

The only requirement as directors you have to meet is to display a Optima Battery banner(will be supplied) at the weigh in of your tournament. Wally stated that this will be bench mark year, if we do well with pictures and write ups supplied to him, that the sponsorships will grow next year. With company's cutting or dropping their sponsorship, Team Trails is fortunate to land this sponsorship for the 2009 Tournament Season. I will forward information on banners as soon as I receive it.

Cindy Holifield treated me to a wonderful lunch at Logan's Roadhouse in T town, Alabama (Roll Tide) Thank you Cindy. I believe I've not only met a great Ambassador for tournament fishing, I've made a new friend in the process.Plans have been set. I am now the Director of the Central Alabama (Logan Martin and Neely Henry) division of Team Trails. Team Trails is sanctioned with the PAA, which means larger payouts for PAA members! Our first tournament is Dec. 7th, a Sunday on Logan Martin Lake. Registration is now! I already have a couple of confirmations. It seems I won't be the only woman fishing. Cousin Jada is fishing with another co-angler from the WBT, Nancy from Huntsville, Alabama. The President of Team Trails and his wife Cindy by his side, will be attending the first tournament!So, I'm asking my fishing friends to pass the word. It took 21.57 lbs to take first place on Logan Martin the 23rd of November at The BSTC first tournament of the winter season. Ya'll come fishing!
Team Trails set the Pace for the Winter Trails Starting with the beginning of the 08/09 season Team Trails sets the tone for its first winter/spring championship. March 20th & 21st will be the mark for records to be broken with those springtime bites. Yes the bass will be on the bed & it should be a time to remember. Make your plans to fish one of our winter trails as we will only have 5 events in each winter division & you can either fish all 5 events in one of the trails or pick any 5 events to qualify. Team Trails Bass Events will kick off a new trail this year "Youth Team Trails" The trail will consist of 4 tournaments and a championship in September. Participants must fish 2 out of the 4 tournaments to qualify for the championship. After each event there will be a casting contest. Each team must consist of one adult 18 yrs or older and one youth 17 yrs or younger. Entry fees per tournament will be $75 per team. Membership is free to anyone under the age of 16 and $30 for 16 yrs and older(Famliy membership 50.00 and includes all family members. A parent or guardian must sign a waiver for anyone under the age of 18. All other team trail rules apply. Please click here for a list of tournament dates. Angler of the year both teams & couples Each trail will have an angler of the year at the end of the year. The team with the most points at the end of the year will only have to pay $50.00 per tournament (includes teams and couples.
Super teams will pay 100.00 per event and youth will pay 25.00 per event
All tournaments must be fished in the trail that you win. You will not be able to cross over into other trails. The ones of you that fish in the overall championship will be competing against each other for overall angler of the year (only includes teams,couples & youth). At the championship the team, couple or youth with the most weight will win a free set entries to the next years events in the trail of their choice. Super Teams Rules in addition to reg. team rules. No substitutions,you may only fish with your partner or by yourself. If you fish with a new partner it will not count as one of your 5 events.You must fish 3 out of the 5 events to qualify for championship. All teams that fish at least 3 events will automatically qualify for free entry to all championships.There will be a 20.00 late fee the morning of each tournament. Entry fee 500.00 per team per each event. Payout will increase or decrease according to the number of boats. The amount paid out at the championship will also increase or decrease according to the number of regular season boats. There will be a drawing after each event for a free entry to the next event (must be present to win). Overall angler of the year will only pay 100.00 to all events the following year. *All prize money based on participation.
