Team Trails Opens Door for its First Youth Trail in 2008
Team Trails Bass Tournaments will kick off a new trail this year "Youth Team Trails" The trail will consist of 4 tournaments and a championship in September. Participants must fish 2 out of the 4 tournaments to qualify for the championship. After each event there will be a casting contest. Each team must consist of one adult 18 yrs or older and one youth 17 yrs or younger. Entry fees per tournament will be $75 per team. Membership is free to anyone under the age of 16 and $25 for 16 yrs and older. A parent or guardian must sign a waiver for anyone under the age of 18. All other team trail rules apply. Fire Fighters Tournament supported by Team Trails
The coming year brings another year Team Trails will be supporting the 08 Fallen Fire Fighters benefit tournament with many thanks going to 2 of our great directors David & Charlotte Mace.
David & Charlotte will be running the weighin for the event this year & hands down to all they continue to do for all you great fishermen.
The event will start out on Saturday May 3rd with several things going on. Jimmy Houston will be there for the children's rodeo & with plans of a kids casting contest possible also. Jimmy Houston will be at both events & we welcome him in the largest way to help promote this great event.
Sign up will be at the Bass Pro in Jackson Ms along with a dinner to follow. We hope our trail along with David & Charlotte can make this event more than it has ever been in the past. 2008 Teams Championship (free entry)
Fish any 7 events or fish 5 events(must be in the top 50%) in one single trail & qualify to fish either or both of our divisional tournaments.There are 3 ways to qualify for the overall championship #1- finish in the top 75 in either of the divisional tournaments, # 2 -fish both divisional tournaments ,# 3 -be the angler of the year. All 3 events have a free entry if you qualify.

2008 Payout for overall team Championship (free entry)
*1st fully rigged Bass Cat Boat w/Mercury Motor (Sidepot will start at 2nd place)
Couples Championship with (free entry)
Fish any 7 of the 28 events or finish in the top 50% (must fish a min. of 4 tournaments) & qualify for the overall championship.

Bass Cat-Mercury Championship
Finish in the top 40 % of your championship & qualify to have a chance to win a Bass Cat boat. There will be a boat given away for every 60 boats entered. This will also include the top 40% of teams & couples.
Angler of the year both teams & couples
Each trail will have an angler of the year at the end of the year. The team with the most points at the end of the year will win a certificate worth $100.00 off each event they fish in the trail that they win for 7 tournaments. All 7 tournaments must be in the trail that you win. You will not be able to cross over into other trails. At the end of the year each angler of the year will receive a certificate worth $700.00 & prizes. The ones of you that fish in the overall championship will be competing against each other for overall angler of the year. At the championship you will be awarded cash & prizes along with an overall angler of the year plaque to the team with the most weight. This will also apply to the couples trail.
Super Teams Rules in addition to reg. team rules.
No substitutions,you may only fish with your partner or by yourself. If you fish with a new partner it will not count as one of your 4 events.You must fish 3 out of the 4 events to qualify for championship. All teams that fish at least 3 events will automatically qualify for free entry to the championship.There will be a 20.00 late fee the morning of each tournament. Entry fee 500.00 per team per each event. Payout will increase or decrease according to the number of boats. The championship will be a free entry with *10,000.00 being first place based on an average participation during the regular season of 50 boats. The amount paid out at the championship will also increase or decrease according to the number of regular season boats. If the number of boats is greater than expected we will then extend the number of payouts with the free entry. Based on a field of 50 boats we will pay only one place with the free entry & will start the 100% optional side pot on second place with a 1 in 5 payout. There will be a drawing after each event for a free entry to the next event (must be present to win). Overall angler of the year will win a free entry to all events the following year.
