Bass Tournament Rules and Regulations 2010
TOURNAMENT REGISTRATION
Contestants can enter by mailing a completed application and a check for $150 (Big Bass Optional) payable to The Darryl Worley Foun- dation, Inc., to 325 Main Street, Savannah, TN 38372. Registrations received after Nov. 1st will incur a $10 late fee.
1. RULE CHANGES
The rules will remain unchanged. Interpretation of these rules shall be left exclusively to the tournament director. Failure not to comply with any rule may result in disqualification. The decision of the tournament director shall be final in all matters. 2. PARTICIPANTS & ELIGIBILITY Tournament officials reserve the right to refund any entry fee, if it shall choose for any reason not to accept the application for entrance. Persons under the age of 18 years of age must have the signature of his/her parent or legal guardian on the entry form.
3. SAFETY
Safe boating must be observed at all times. Each contestant is required to wear a U.S. Coast Guard approved chest-type life preserver any time the combustion engine is running. The preserver must be fastened securely and the safety-stop switch attached until the engine is shut off. 4. SPORTSMANSHIP All contestants are expected to follow high standards of sportsmanship, courtesy, safety and conservation. No alcoholic beverages or unprescribed drugs are allowed in the boat or at the weigh-in at any time. The use of mobile communication devices such as cellular phones, CB's or walkie-talkies to communicate fishing locations or information during the tournament is strictly prohibited. 5. TACKLE & EQUIPMENT Only artificial lures with the exception of pork rind, may be used. Only one rod /reel combination may be used at one time per person. Trolling with the combustion motor is prohibited. All fish must be caught alive and in a legal and sporting manner. No snagging.
6. PERMITTEDFISHINGLOCATIONS
Contestants may fish any where on the tournament waters accessible by boat, except areas designated off limits or within 50 yards of another competitor's boat that is first anchored. Contestants must remain in the boat at all times except in the case of dire emergency or nature calling. In the event of an emergency, partners may enter another competitor's or rescue boat. In the case of a disabled boat, one partner may bring in the fish.
7. TIES
In case of a tie, positions shall be resolved by combining the awards and dividing equal amounts between the tied contestants. Trophy positions will be determined by the flip of a coin.
8. BAG SIZE LIMIT & SIZE
Five fish per boat limit. The size limit on all species of bass shall be 12" on spotted bass, 15" on largemouth, and 18" on small- mouth, no exceptions. All fish will be measured on a Golden Rule. Short fish brought to the scale will result in the loss of that fish and a 1 pound penalty.
9. LIVE FISH
Every effort must be made to keep bass alive through the use of a properly aerated live well. One-Half (0.50) pound will be deducted from the total weight for each dead bass weighed.
10. TOURNAMENT HOURS
Tournament hours will be from “Safe Light” until 3:00 PM. We reserve the right to assign flights and change tournament hours if neces- sary.All contestants that have prepaid prior to Nov. 1st will draw for their blast off number. All entries received starting Nov. 1st will get the next number available.
11. LATE PENALTY
Contestants who are not in the official check-in area at the appointed time will be penalized one (1) pound per minute deducted from the total weight including any weight to be counted toward a big bass award. Any contestant more than fifteen (15) minutes late will be dis- qualified.
12. POLYGRAPH
A polygraph may be given to any contestant. Failure to pass polygraph results in disqualification

The only requirement as directors you have to meet is to display a Optima Battery banner(will be supplied) at the weigh in of your tournament. Team Trails set the Pace for the Winter Trails
Starting with the beginning of the 10/11 season Team Trails sets the tone for its winter/spring championship on Columbus Lake. March 23rd thru the 26th will be the official event and will be the mark for records to be broken with those springtime bites. Yes the bass will be on the bed & it should be a time to remember. Make your plans to fish one of our winter trails as we will only have 5 events in each winter division & you can either fish all 5 events in one of the trails or pick any 5 events to qualify. Team Trails Bass Events will kick off a new trail this year "Youth Team Trails" The trail will consist of 4 tournaments and a championship to be announced.  Participants must fish 3 out of the 4 tournaments to qualify for the championship. Each team must consist of one adult 18 yrs or older and one youth under the the age 18.  Entry fees per tournament will be $75 per team.  Membership is free to anyone under the age of 16  and $30 for 16 yrs and older(Famliy membership 50.00 and includes all family members.  A parent or guardian must sign a waiver for anyone under the age of 18.  All other team trail rules apply. Each trail will have an angler of the year at the end of the year. The team with the most points at the end of the year will only have to pay $50.00 per tournament (includes teams and couples.
Super teams will pay 100.00 per event and youth will pay 25.00 per event 
All tournaments must be fished in the trail that you win. You will not be able to cross over into other trails. The ones of you that fish in the overall championship will be competing against each other for overall angler of the year (only includes teams,couples & youth). At the championship the team, couple or youth with the most weight will win a free set entries to the next years events in the trail of their choice.

Super Teams Rules in addition to reg. team rules.
You may fish each event with different partners. You must fish 3 out of the 4 events to qualify for championship. Entry fee 300.00 per team per each event. Payout will increase or decrease according to the number of boats. The amount paid out at the championship will also increase or decrease according to the number of regular season boats. Overall angler of the year will only pay 100.00  to all events the following year. (may fish all events alone). You must declare your partner at first event.
